This
depends on which domain plan you signed up for. Please click
here to see how many POP come with each domain plan.
How
do I setup POP mail accounts?
- Using
your Internet browser, access your Customer Control Panel (http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel).
- Under
the Email section, choose Manage Accounts.
- You
are then presented with a list of accounts that you have setup.
- To
add a new one, click Add Account at the bottom.
- Enter
a user name for the account and a password.
- Click
Create and the account is created.
- To
delete an account, from the main Manage Accounts screen, simply
click the "Delete" graphic.
- To
change the password for an account, click on Change Password
and enter the new password on the next screen.

POP3 email?
Detailed
instructions for specific email programs are below. In general,
you will use the following settings:
Incoming
Mail Server: yourdomain.com
Outgoing Mail Server: yourdomain.com
User Name: UserID@yourdomain.com
Please
refer to your email client's manual or contact
our Technical Support department if you are unable to set
up your POP3 email accounts following the appropriate instructions
below.
Microsoft
Outlook / Outlook Express
- Choose
Accounts from the Tools menu.
- Click
Add and Choose Mail.
- Enter
your name. Enter the Return Address, [Alias]@[insertyourdomain.com].
- Choose
POP3 as your server type.
- Enter
[insertyourdomain.com] as your Incoming Mail server.
- Enter
your Internet Service Provider's Outgoing Mail server.
- Enter
the [UserID]@[insertyourdomain.com] you specified when you
set up the account for the Mailbox - i.e. john@yourdomain.com.
- Enter
the password you specified when you set up the account for
the Mailbox.
- Complete
the setup process with responses appropriate to your computer
and your preferences.
Netscape
Mail
- Choose
Preferences from the Edit menu.
- Choose
Mail & Groups.
- Choose
Identity.
- Enter
your name.
- Enter
the POP Email Address (with a percentage sign instead of the
@ symbol), [User]%mail.[insertyourdomain.com]. (Only you will
see the % sign. You still tell others that your address is
[User]@[insertyourdomain.com]).
- Enter
the Return Address, [user]@[insertyourdomain.com].
- Choose
Mail Server.
- Enter
the [UserID]@[insertyourdomain.com] you specified when you
set up the account for the Mailbox - i.e. john@yourdomain.com.
- Enter
your Internet Service Provider's Outgoing Mail server.
- Enter
[insertyourdomain.com] as your Incoming Mail server.
- Complete
the setup process with responses appropriate to your computer
and your preferences.
Qualcomm
Eudora
- Choose
Options from the Tools menu.
- Click
Getting Started.
- Enter
your name.
- Enter
the Return Address, [User]@[insertyourdomain.com].
- Enter
[insertyourdomain.com] as your Incoming Mail server.
- Enter
the [UserID]@[insertyourdomain.com] you specified when you
set up the account for the Mailbox - i.e. john@yourdomain.com.
- Click
Sending Mail. Your return address should already appear.
- Enter
your Internet Service Provider's Outgoing Mail server under
SMTP server.
- Complete
the set up process with responses appropriate to your computer
and your preferences.
America
On Line (AOL)
AOL
currently uses a proprietary e-mail format and does not provide
for POP mail services. Please use e-mail
aliases instead.
Can
I purchase additional POP mailboxes?
Yes,
POP mailboxes can be purchases in blocks of fifteen for a fee
of $15.00 per month. If you require more mailboxes, please e-mail support@coloradowebhosting.com and
let us know how many additional blocks of fifteen you need. |
